remove a computer from home network?

fatty_cholesterol asked:

I have a laptop that is able to wirelessly connect to other computers. I had it connected to my ex-bf’s computer and we had file sharing and whatnot. Well, my computer is now searching for missing files on his computer, which is rediculous because his computer is no where around. I need to know how to remove his computer from being seen by my computer and to get my computer to stop looking for files on his computer. Any thoughts?

The laptops might be using 1394 connection (ad-hoc), which is a computer-to-computer connection. To disconnect your bf’s laptop just disconnect the 1394 connection, just like you do when you disconnect an internet connection from your wireless.
Also check if your laptop is doing “file sharing”. That might be causing some trouble…
    cheers!!!
